Arsenal have suffered a blow minutes before their Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion. The Gunners have been forced to make a change to their starting XI after Riccardo Calafiori picked up an issue in warm-up.
Mikel Arteta's side will not have Myles Lewis-Skelly starting at left-back. The change comes as a fresh setback for the Gunners, who are already without Jurrien Timber. The right-back has not made the squad, and that has forced Declan Rice to become the make-shift full-back for the game.
Arsenal are yet to provide an official reason for the Italian missing the match after being named in the starting XI. They posted on X (formerly Twitter):
"Myles Lewis-Skelly replaces Riccardo Calafiori in the line-up after the Italian picked up an issue in the warm-up."Arteta's side are second in the table ahead of kick-off after Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest earlier today.
