The 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski is spending this year’s Christmas recovering from his leg injury, focusing on healing and reflecting with gratitude and faith.

RFK Racing co-owner and driver broke his right leg last week while on a family skiing trip. The incident occurred on Thursday (December 18), and Keselowski was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery for the injury.

Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and after spending a few days under medical care, the veteran driver has since been released and has begun his recovery process ahead of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Despite the injury, Brad Keselowski remained positive and used the Christmas holiday to share a message of faith and encouragement with the fans on X (formerly Twitter).

“Merry Christmas everybody! Whether in times of pain, joy or maybe even a little of both at the same time, I pray you may know and feel “The wonders of his love” ❤️” Keselowski wrote.

The 41-year-old driver has never missed a Cup Series race since starting to compete full-time in 2010, even sustaining an ankle injury in 2011. Keselowski has time to recover before 2026 begins in February, and he is aiming to recover before the season-opening Daytona 500 on February 15.

However, the 2026 kickoff is with the exhibition event Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium on February 1, but it’s a non-points-paying event.
