Even with Jayson Tatum sidelined, the Boston Celtics have proven to be one of the strongest teams in the East. They sit third in the conference standings with a 20-12 record, with Jaylen Brown being largely responsible for the success.

Brown is putting together the best season of his career, averaging 29.5 points, 5.0 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game.

On the other hand, the Sacramento Kings have struggled mightily and look more like a lottery team than an actual contender. They are second-to-last in the Western Conference with an 8-25 record, with things getting worse in December. Zach LaVine missed several games with an ankle injury, and without him, the Kings boasted a 3-9 record for the month.

The Kings, on the other hand, already have a weaker roster and will further be missing both LaVine and Domantas Sabonis, limiting their offensive options.
