The Detroit Tigers are tied with the New York Yankees for the best record in the American League and lead the AL Central by 1.5 games.
However, there are some issues that need to be addressed. They could use another bat when the trade deadline comes around, as well as somebody who can play center field.
With the Baltimore Orioles struggling, they could end up being sellers at the deadline, and the Tigers could potentially look into some of their assets.
Andrew Wright of Newsweek proposed the idea of Detroit trading for Cedric Mullins.
"The Tigers currently have longtime infielder Javier Baez spending time in centerfield, which is very telling of the current outfield situation in Detroit," Wright said.

"Moving Baez back into the infield, entering Mullins' .292 average into the lineup, and letting Mullins roam centerfield makes Detroit an even scarier team to match up against."
Mullins is off to a scorching start with the Orioles. The former All-Star and Silver Slugger is hitting .283/.421/.533 with six home runs, 20 RBI, five stolen bases and a .954 OPS.
His defense would be an upgrade in center field over Baez, and having Baez move back to his familiar shortstop position could help Detroit significantly.
Meanwhile, putting Mullins in the lineup would give them a major offensive boost, which they are going to need in order to make a run this coming October.
It will be interesting to see where things stand at the trade deadline.
