Bills told to part ways with Josh Allen target before the season starts

The Buffalo Bills have a lot of the same names on their roster as last season, not all of them, but a lot, and they have a new head coach in Joe Brady. So, will Brady's coaching and the few major changes they've made to the lineup help this team finally get a championship?

That's the question. If anyone can do it, it's Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

What's apparent is that this team, right now, has a lot of wide receivers. It also wants to set itself up for the future. So, a new trade isn't out of the question.

Now, Seth Walder of ESPN has unleashed a feature with blockbuster trade options that still remain for just a handful of NFL teams. He has the Bills making an interesting deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

Bills encouraged to trade Josh Allen target this summer

In the trade, Walder has the Colts getting Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman and a 2028 sixth-round pick and the Bills getting a 2027 fourth-round pick.

"Coleman was already a potential trade candidate before Bills owner Terry Pegula blamed the team's former coaching staff, as opposed to the current front office, for pushing to draft the wide receiver with the No. 33 pick in 2024," Walder notes. He adds, "Coleman has struggled in two NFL seasons, but it was a fairly shocking insult toward a player still on the roster."

If the Bills are open to trading anyone right now, it's got to be Coleman. Plus, the wide receiver would be valuable to another NFL team, especially the Colts.

"Indianapolis needs receiver help," Walder notes. It doesn't help the Colts that their star wideout Alec Pierce had ankle surgery and isn't even practicing yet. "The Colts have the promising Josh Downs in the slot, but the depth chart on the outside behind Pierce is rough, with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Ashton Dulin the likely next options," he adds.

Even with these options, Indianapolis could benefit from another receiver. Plus, even when Pierce is back on the field, adding another reliable wide receiver would only help the team's depth and abilities.
