There was no indication at the end of last season that Bills star nickel cornerback Taron Johnson was injured.
But he told the Buffalo News that he actually underwent surgery on a torn labrum this offseason.
Johnson said he got hurt in the divisional round, and then he played almost every snap against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
Now, Johnson is still a bit less than 100 percent, but he's close.
“Feels good, pretty much feels close to normal,” Johnson told the Buffalo News. “So, that’s all I can really ask for, being healthy before training camp, so I can fully train and get ready for the season.”

Johnson was a second-team All-Pro in 2023. He's one of the best inside corners in football.
He was dinged up throughout 2024, eventually playing 12 games and intercepting a pair of passes.
The 29-year old is one of the leaders of a defensive group that is hoping to making it over the hump and get to a Super Bowl.
Johnson may be a bit off 100 percent now, but as long as he's there late in the season, the Bills will have a chance.
