The Buffalo Bills will welcome, or not so nicely welcome, the Kansas City Chiefs to Highmark Stadium on Sunday, with the AFC heavyweights set to do battle in Week 9.
We all know about the Bills' record in the regular season against Kansas City, and conversely, we know the Chiefs are 4-0 in the playoffs against Josh Allen, so there will be plenty riding on this one with potential playoff seeding at stake.
The Bills still appear to be a work in progress, while the Chiefs, to most people's dismay, seemingly have hit their stride on both sides of the ball with Patrick Mahomes' offense scoring 28+ points in each game over the past month, and the defense returning to its suffocating best.
As such, when giving his prediction for the game, CBS Sports' John Breech has Buffalo's enemy slaying them in their own building.
"Heading into Week 9, it feels like Mahomes is playing at a higher level than Allen,” Breech wrote. “The Bills QB has one game this year where he's thrown three touchdown passes, Mahomes has hit that number four times in the past five weeks. With Rashee Rice back from suspension, the Chiefs' offense is at full strength. Basically, the Death Star is now fully operational and the Bills are Alderaan.”

Bills must find a way to slay Chiefs
Given how the Bills have looked in their last three games and how the Chiefs have looked, this appears to be a one-sided contest, but we know these two heavyweights will go toe-to-toe regardless of form line.
For the Bills, things are rather shaky right now, and yes, the defense showed signs of improvement against the Carolina Panthers, but more will be needed against a Kansas City offense with a whole cupboard of weapons.
As for the offense and Allen, going up against a defense that has allowed just 24 points total in three games means it will be tough sledding, and the skill position players who struggle to get open will have to if Buffalo is to win this game.
Much like the Panthers game, Buffalo simply has to win. It doesn't matter what it looks like or how it happens, Sean McDermott's team has to emerge from this AFC slugfest with its hand raised.
