Bills' offensive identity shines in Chiefs win - 'This is who we are!'

22 hours ago 3

Two weeks ago, many were skeptical of the Buffalo Bills' offense, with some calling the operation broken after Josh Allen and Co. seemed to be on a different wavelength, leading to back-to-back losses.

But now on a two-game winning streak after an impressive 28-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs that saw Josh Allen be efficient, going 23 of 26 for 273 yards and a touchdown, while James Cook rushed for 114 yards on 27 carries, and the offense was seven of 12 on third down, things were rolling at Highmark Stadium.

And for Allen, when assessing the offense's performance against Kansas City, it feels like the Bills are back to being themselves.

“We feel this is more of who we are,” Allen said. “Let James [Cook] go and do what he does, being able to run some play action, finding completions, and when we need to drop back, especially on third down, we got the guys capable of making plays for us.”

Bills extend Chiefs win streak

In the regular season, yes, the Bills have now won the last five games against the Chiefs, but of course, in the postseason, Kansas City has won the last four games, ending Buffalo's season in the process.

So, it is up to you which one you'd prefer. I know which one I would.

But nevertheless, this was a huge win for the Bills, especially given the New England Patriots' win earlier in the day, and as odd as it sounds, Buffalo had to keep pace with its division rivals.

And it did so when playing "Buffalo football."

Establishing the run game, dominating the line of scrimmage, and when Allen has to make a play, whether through the air or on the ground, he does.

The Bills are back, and their identity might be, too.
