The Buffalo Bills loaded up on the defensive side of the ball during the NFL Draft. They added multiple cornerbacks, including first-round pick Max Hairston out of Kentucky. Darien Porter looks like a player who could be the latest steal who goes to the Sean McDermott school of Day Three defensive backs that turn into stars, and the multiple defensive linemen they accumulated will also be welcome additions to a defense that has constantly collapsed in the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This all came after the Bills extended several home-grown stars, including giving a massive extension to Josh Allen. Because of all of these factors, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports ranked Buffalo as the No. 3 team in the NFL in his post-NFL Draft power rankings, trailing only the Philadelphia Eagles and Chiefs.
"They've had a good offseason, extending a lot of their own, including Josh Allen, and adding good pieces in free agency in receiver Josh Palmer and edge Joey Bosa," Prisco writes. "They also had a heck of a draft, getting corner Maxwell Hairston and a bunch of help for the defense."
The Bills will all but certainly be in the same spot they've been in for the last half-decade. It's just a matter of overcoming the Chiefs-shaped bump in the road to get to the Super Bowl.
