Week 11's edition of "Sunday Night Football" featured a thriller between two quarterbacks taken early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Despite letting go of the 27-6 advantage they held in the third quarter, the Chargers escaped with a 34-27 win over the Bengals thanks to a 29-yard touchdown run by J.K. Dobbins in the final minute of the game. While the result was dictated by Los Angeles' run game, the matchup still featured a back-and-forth performance between star quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert.
The two franchise signal-callers traded blows, with Herbert leading the Chargers to a significant halftime lead. Three Bengals touchdown drives tied the game at 27 in a comeback effort, but ultimately, Herbert got the best of Burrow this time around. With the win, the Chargers improved their record to 7-3, while the Bengals fell to 4-7 as their playoff hopes continued to dwindle.
Herbert and Burrow put forth one of the best quarterback duels of the NFL season on Sunday night. Here's how each quarterback performed in the "Sunday Night Football" matchup.

— NFL (@NFL) November 18, 2024While the quarterback's numbers fell off a bit in the second half as Los Angeles allowed a Bengals comeback effort, Herbert and his offense came through when it mattered most. With just 45 seconds remaining in a tie game, Herbert found Ladd McConkey twice for huge plays, which then set up Dobbins' game-winning touchdown run.

While Burrow couldn't quite lift the Bengals to their fifth win of the 2024 season, he still put forth a strong individual effort. Cincinnati fell behind at halftime and faced a 27-6 deficit around the midway point of the third quarter, and Burrow led the Bengals to three consecutive touchdown drives from there, knotting the game at 27.
First, he found Ja'Marr Chase on fourth-and-goal for the Bengals' first touchdown of the game.
— Sunday Night Football on NBC (@SNFonNBC) November 18, 2024Arguably the gutsiest play call of the matchup came toward the end of the third quarter when Burrow went deep to Tee Higgins on fourth-and-two. Fortunately for him, Higgins was wide open, bringing Cincinnati closer on the scoreboard.
— NFL (@NFL) November 18, 2024Herbert fumbled to give the ball back to Cincinnati, and to complete the comeback effort, Burrow tossed another touchdown pass to Chase from 17 yards out.
— NFL (@NFL) November 18, 2024After Sunday's game, Burrow has 3,028 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns, and four interceptions this season. However, the Bengals sit at just 4-7 heading into Week 12.
