Bills building 63 feet worth of Buffalo bison statues outside new stadium

The Buffalo Bills' new stadium will have some impressively intimidating guardians.

The Bills are building three massive bison statues in front of the stadium, and image renderings were released on Tuesday.

In short, they're awesome.

They'll measure 27 feet, 24 feet and 12 feet tall. They'll be a bull, a cow and a calf.

"The installation will feature three stainless steel bison -- a bull, cow and calf -- modeled after the American bison," writes ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg. "... There are also a few misconceptions to clear up. The statues were never intended to be the world's tallest, they won't be climbable and previously circulated images were mock-ups, not final designs."

They'll be in an area outside the stadium known as Family Circle, which will essentially be a cool welcome plaza.

The bison statues will have portions that can be lit up, and they will also shoot vapor out of the nostrils like a bison breathing.

"The bison will feature five lighting elements -- including the eyes, nostrils and charges along their bodies -- and a carbon dioxide system will create visible mist from their snouts, an idea prompted by Pegula," Getzenberg writes. "The statues are also reactive to each other, with the bull designed like it is charging forward, one front leg raised while the cow is leaning toward the calf."

Who even needs a football game?

These sound like worth the trip just by themselves.
