Bill Belichick is continuing to support his girlfriend Jordon Hudson both on camera and in writing. The University of North Carolina coach mentioned Hudson as his "muse" in his new memoir The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football on Tuesday, May 6.
In the book, reports have revealed that Belichick included a special shout out to his 24-year-old girlfriend writing, "Thank you to my idea mill and creative muse, Jordon Hudson."
The former NFL coach also thanked a couple of other supporters including his business partner Berj Najarian and the InkWell Management team.
"Any individuals I list in appreciation for making this book possible — which really means making my career possible — warrant more than a two-word entry. Collectively, they made me, as did countless others who deserve mention," the 73-year-old wrote prior to the acknowledgement section.
Despite this special call out, it seems Belichick excluded Hudson in the beginning part of the book — the dedications section. There, the coach honored his parents, godfather, grandparents and his three children.
Regardless of where her acknowledgement was listed, Hudson has proven to be a strong support system for the UNC coach. While interviewing with CBS Sunday Morning, Belichick was asked about his relationship with the former cheerleader.
"I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks,” he claimed on April 27. The interviewer followed up by asking how the father of three met his belle, to which Hudson interjected stating, “Not talking about this.”
This interview quickly went viral on social media with followers of the coach feeling displeased with her statement. However, this practice isn’t all too uncommon according to other athletes.
Dudes on Dudes podcast hosts Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski quickly took Hudson’s side saying that she was just “working with Coach Belichick in the professional world.”
