Krafton announced the 2026 roadmap for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports during the final day of the International Cup 2025. Just like this year, the next will also see a total of four major tournaments. Apart from that, the company will host open-to-all tournaments as well.

Among those qualified for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 are two Indian teams, Orangutan Gaming and True Rippers. This is significant because after more than three years, teams from this nation will be seen competing in the Global Championship. It's also the first time that two Indian teams have qualified for the upcoming international tournament.

Krafton to host four BGMI majors in 2026

BGIS 2026

The first major BGMI tournament of 2026, named Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS), will kick off in January. Many pro teams from across the country will fight for the title. This will be the fifth edition of the India Series, whose inaugural season was held in late 2021 and early 2022.

BMPS 2026

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) will be the second major BGMI event of 2026. The tournament will begin in May next year and will be the fourth season of the Pro Series (the first iteration was hosted in 2022).

BMSD 2026

The BGMI Showdown (BMSD) 2026 will be organized in September next year. The first edition of the event was held in 2022, and the second in 2025. The winning team from the latter was awarded a direct spot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship.

BMIC 2026

The BGMI International Cup (BMIC) will be the fourth major tournament of 2026. The publisher conducted the inaugural edition of the tournament from October 31 to November 2, 2025. Four teams each from South Korea and Japan also participated in the event. It featured two slots for the PMGC 2025.

The publisher has also announced the Krafton India Awards 2025, which will be held on January 9, 2026. For the first time, Krafton is set to host its own award ceremony.

The company hosted four major BGMI events in 2025, featuring a whopping total prize pool of ₹9 crore. It has not yet announced the prize pool for the 2026 events or mentioned whether any Indian team will get a slot in next year's international PUBG Mobile events.

Team Aryan, which won the BMPS 2025, represented India in the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (PMWC) this year. Meanwhile, Orangutan Gaming and True Rippers are set to represent the country in the upcoming Global Championship, which features 40 teams from around the globe.
