Beyoncé Unveils Blonde Bob Transformation, Her Shortest Look in Years

Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams Will Co-Chair 2026 Met Gala

If I were a bob...

Beyoncé showed off a chic new blonde bob on social media, the chin-length look marking the shortest her hair has been in years. (The last time her locks were above her shoulders was in Sept. 2024.)

The "Formation" singer shared a new carousel of photos to Instagram Feb. 12 in which she rocked the new 'do as she seemingly attended the 2026 Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif.

She rocked a lime green trench coat over an off-the-shoulder butter yellow top tucked into high-waisted olive green trousers, finishing off her look with a matching lime green purse, dark sunglasses, a brown belt and black pumps.

While Beyoncé didn't caption the photos—some of which appear to have been taken on a private plane—she did post them to her website alongside the words, "CANDY APPLE GREEN."

Despite the "Love on Top" singer not being spotted at Levi's Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, the arena could be seen in the background of one of her photos. Another pic featured the date Feb. 8, 2026, which is when Super Bowl LIX took place, and she also posed alongside a "Game Day" banner and held up a "Touchdown" pennant in one of the snaps.

But while Beyoncé chose to take in the game from a behind-the-scenes vantage point, Jay-Z—whose company Roc Nation was in charge of the annual halftime performance for the seventh year in a row—was photographed on the sidelines with their daughters Blue Ivy Carter, 14, and Rumi Carter, 7, where they adorably recreated jumping pics from past Super Bowls.

Beyoncé's Instagram post represented her first group of new photos shared to social media since November, when she attended fellow Destiny's Child singer and longtime pal Kelly Rowland's concert, as well as an F1 event in Las Vegas alongside husband Jay-Z.

The 44-year-old's reemergence on social media comes as fans continue to speculate about her plans for a possible act iii follow up to Renaissance and Cowboy Carter.

While she hasn't yet commented directly on those rumors, she is set to co-chair the 2026 Met Gala, which is slated for May 4, alongside Vogue's Anna Wintour, as well as Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams. It will mark Beyoncé's first time attending the star-studded event since 2016.
