Best teams for Honkai Star Rail 3.7 Apocalyptic Shadow

A new iteration of Apocalyptic Shadow is here in Honkai Star Rail 3.7, featuring new enemies, stage buffs, and combat mechanics. Titled "Instigation of the Locusts", this version of Apocalyptic Shadow has an enemy lineup comprising of the Sky-Shrouding Stardevourer Swarm (Starcrusher Swarm King), and the Opportunistic Provocateur (Phantylia).

In order to achieve a full clear of Apocalyptic Shadow, players will need to challenge and defeat the two aforementioned bosses through four difficulty levels. Before diving into the best teams to use for this rotation of Apocalyptic Shadow, let us first take a look at the stage buffs that players can take advantage of:

Node 1 buffs

• Brand of Anamnesis: When there are 2 / 3 / 4 Remembrance characters in the team, the DMG that enemy targets receive is increased by 5% / 10% / 20%, respectively.
• Hardened by Frost: Ice DMG dealt by allies is increased by 50%, and SPD is increased by 10%.
• Heroic Vanguard: When the character in position 1 uses their Ultimate, both their Weakness Break efficiency and their CRIT DMG is increased by 50%, lasting for one turn.

Node 2 buffs

• Dire Straits: When team members deal DMG to enemies who are inflicted with a minimum of three DoT states, their Weakness Break efficiency is increased by 50%.
• Stunning Remark: The Weakness Break damage received by all enemies is increased by 15%, while the Super Break damage they receive is increased by 20%.
• Sweeping Force: All party members have the CRIT DMG of their Basic ATK and Ultimates increased by 30%. If any enemies are Weakness Broken, this CRIT DMG is increased by an addiitonal 30%.

Best teams for Node 1

1) Castorice, Evernight, Cyrene, Hyacine

Castorice's Premium team comprising of her best supports and sustains is the optimal choice for defeating the Sky-Shrouding Stardevourer Swarm boss in Node 1 of Apocalyptic Shadow. This boss has Quantum and Ice weaknesses, making Castorice and Evernight the perfect units for engaging it in combat. AoE DPS units work the best against this boss, as you will need to keep taking out its summons in order to whittle down the boss' toughness bar. Players who don't have Cyrene can use Tribbie in her place.

Use the Brand of Anamnesis buff when using this team.

2) Phainon, Sunday, Cerydra, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

The Sky-Shrouding Stardevourer Swarm boss also has a Physical weakness that a Phainon hypercarry team can take advantage of. Phainon's best teammates are undoubtedly Cerydra and Sunday, as they allow him to maximize his DMG output in the shortest amount of time possible. Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is a free unit who should absolutely be used in this team composition. Focus on charging Phainon's Ultimate as quickly as possible, so he can transform into his Khaslana form and defeat the multiple enemy waves.

Use the Heroic Vanguard buff for this team.

3) The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, Hyacine

The Herta is a great AoE DPS unit who can be used to clear Node 1 in Honkai Star Rail 3.7 Apocalyptic Shadow. She has excellent synergy with Anaxa, who fills the role of a sub-DPS in this team. Players who don't own Hyacine can replace her with the free unit Dan Heng Permansor Terrae.

Make sure to use the Hardened by Frost buff for this team.

Best teams for Node 2

1) Mydei, Sunday, Tribbie, Luocha

The Opportunistic Provocateur in Node 2 of the current Apocalyptic Shadow has an Imaginary weakness that a Mydei hypercarry team can utilize to the fullest. Mydei is one of the fastest attackers currently in game, and his speed will have a huge advantage in quickly defeating the Lotus summons in order to weaken Phantylia. Players who don't have Tribbie can replace her with Remembrance Trailblazer. Similarly, Luocha can be replaced with another Sustain unit such as Gallagher.

Use the Sweeping Force buff for this team.

2) Kafka, Black Swan, Hysilens, Huohuo

Since Phantylia has both Lightning and Wind weaknesses, a DoT team featuring Kafka, Hysilens, and Black Swan (with Huohuo as Sustain) is a good choice for defeating this boss. Focus on taking out the Lotuses that Phantylia summons to get her to a Weakness Broken state faster.

You can use the Dire Straits buff for this team.
