Former President Barack Obama reminded fans Saturday night why his presence still commands a room, stealing the spotlight at NBA All-Star Weekend with charm, humor, and basketball savvy. The former President was joined by his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, on Sunday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

On Sunday morning Obama shared on X “Watching the NBA All Star game and Team USA at the Winter Olympics, it’s clear that sports — just like music and art — still has the power to bring us together, build community, and remind us of our common humanity,”

Obama also flashed his long-standing rivalry banter with Indiana fans when asked to reflect on the Chicago Bulls’ battles with the Pacers in the 1990s. When Reggie Miller asked if he had a favorite moment from that era, Obama didn’t hesitate.

“I always enjoyed watching us beat Indiana,” he said, drawing laughs from the crowd and the broadcast desk.
