Popular Just Chatting streamer Zack "Asmongold" has accused Twitch of "treating Black men much more harshly than other groups" following Nina Lin's unban. On December 26, 2025, a 53-second video from Asmongold's livestream surfaced on X, in which he commented on controversial personality Nina Lin's Twitch channel being reinstated.
While comparing Lin's suspension to RaKai's ban, the former member of OTK (One True King) expressed his belief that the Amazon-owned livestreaming platform is "biased" and operates under a "double standard":
"It's the fact that it happens, and it's biased. Right? It's a double standard, where some people get punished, like RaKai gets punished, but then Nina doesn't at all. Nina gets unbanned before RaKai. They get banned at the same time. How does this happen? It's very, very weird."Asmongold then alleged that Twitch "treats Black men more harshly than other groups." He elaborated:
"It's like, how many points on the graph do you need, where Twitch treats people that are minorities, especially Black men. Twitch treats Black men much more harshly than, I think, other groups. I think this is undeniable. And, like, they don't acknowledge them. I don't know what this is. It's selective, yeah. It's very, very weird. Honestly, I should take a step back and just, like, collect every single bit of evidence of Twitch doing this. Because there's like probably 10 examples..."Nina Lin says Asmongold "knows how to spin a story" after getting unbanned on Twitch
Nina Lin hosted a comeback livestream on December 26, 2025, following her recent suspension. At one point, she shared her thoughts on Asmongold, saying that the Austin, Texas-based personality "knows how to spin a story."
Claiming that he should "work for some kind of news" because, according to her, he has "got talent," Nina Lin remarked:
"He is 40?! Oh, my god! Why does he look 50, though? Hold on. Yo, bro, what's going on? I'll send a care package. I'll give you some face masks. Bro, you're pushing 50, and you... he got it. I ain't going to lie, I'mma do the DDG, hey, you got it, bro. I'm scared of you. I'm so scared of you! Hey, if you're watching this, Asmon, which I know you are, Asmongold, hey, bro, listen, work for some kind of news. Like, do something! Like, you got a talent. You know how to spin a story. All right? You know how to take something fake and make it fully fake."Asmongold made headlines on December 19, 2025, when he stated that tipping is a "side-effect from slavery," while commenting on a controversy involving Wendy Ortiz's sister, Evelyn Ortiz.
