Ashton Jeanty crocs, explained: NFL Draft prospect rocks customized, Swarovski crystal shoes on red carpet

The 2025 NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday night, and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is one of the 16 prospects who are attending the event live in Green Bay, Wis.

While many football players growing up always dream about hearing their name announced at the NFL Draft, they may not consider all of the details. There is now a lot of pressure on choosing the right outfit to wear to the event.

Players have long gone past normal suits, and they now use their draft-day attire as their first chance to introduce themselves to their new fans.

Jeanty is no exception. College football's leading rusher is ready to make an impact at the next level, and while his highlights are impressive, his footwear actually stole the show on draft night.

Ashton Jeanty Crocs, explained

We have seen all sorts of outfits ahead of the NFL Draft. Shemar Stewart is wearing an all-green suit with a chain depicting a lion roaring while his dad is rocking a Thanos chain. Arizona wide receiver Tet McMillan and his family are all wearing lei necklaces to pay homage to their Polynesian culture. 

Jeanty was asked more about his outfit choice on the NFL Draft's red carpet.

He said that he is a custom suit guy, but he chooses to address his shoes first. The running back is wearing custom Crocs. While many will find annoyance that they aren't in sport mode, upon closer look the crocs are also adorned with Swarovski crystals. These complement his "wine-colored" silk suit and his Rolex on his wrist. 

Jeanty might be the most relaxed invitee in the green room given his footwear, but he isn't sacrificing his overall style to do so. Time will tell if he extends his love of comfort to the gridiron when he suits up this fall.
