With the holiday season fast approaching, the WTA recently took part in the festive fun with a few memes, which included the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka and more. Reacting to the hilarious pictures, Sabalenka and Pegula were quick to express their amusement at being turned into holiday memes.

The 2025 WTA season delivered some phenomenal tennis action. The year began with the Australian Open in January, where Madison Keys was crowned champion. The next three Majors were divided between Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, with Elena Rybakina winning the year-ending Tour Finals.

Now, with the 2025 season wrapped up and the Christmas holidays fast approaching, the WTA took to Instagram to spread the holiday cheer. The association shared photos of tennis stars looking grumpy on court with text on the picture reading ‘how your email finds me’.”

Reacting to the photos, Aryna Sabalenka couldn't stop laughing and she commented with several ‘tears of joy’ emojis.

Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula also showed her amusement over the pictures, writing,

“Dead on the inside.”

Aryna Sabalenka is undoubtedly one of the most dominant players on the WTA Tour at the moment. The Belarusian is currently ranked No.1 in the world and she displayed some tremendous grit over the course of her 2025 season.

The 28-year-old began her year in Melbourne at the Australian Open, reaching the finals before falling short against Madison Keys. She went on to win the Miami Open and the Madrid Open, before registering a runners-up finish at the French Open. In August 2025, Sabalenka clinched her first Grand Slam triumph of the year when she successfully defended her US Open title. She wrapped up the season with yet another runners-up finish, this time at the WTA Tour Finals.

Now, as the 2026 tournament calendar beckons, Sabalenka is making the most of her time away from court. Recently, the Belarusian took to Instagram to share snaps of her off-season, with the photos including glimpses of her training sessions for the upcoming year. She captioned the post,

“Vibing, wbu?”

Aryna Sabalenka will begin her 2026 season with an appearance at the Brisbane International, where she will be hoping to defend her title. The tournament is scheduled to take place between January 4 and 11, and will feature a stacked field, with the entry lists including the likes of Elena Rybakina, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys and Mirra Andreeva.
