Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, according to reports.
The three Premier League giants have in recent months been keeping tabs on Yildiz, who has established himself as one of the exciting youngsters in the Italian top flight. The 20-year-old quickly broke into Juventus Next Gen and later into the first team, to which he was promoted in 2023.
He had an incredible campaign with the Bianconeri last season which earned him a spot in the Serie A Team of the Season. The Turkey international has picked up from where he left off, having racked up 12 goal contributions in 22 appearances across all competitions this term. His magnificent performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with top clubs now vying for his signature.
According to TuttoSport, Yildiz has been receiving ‘numerous phone calls’ from major European clubs on a weekly basis, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool now intensifying their hunt for the player.
The interest is, however, not only limited to England, with the report adding that Real Madrid’s Xabi Alonso admires Yildiz and has recommended him to club president Florentino Perez as the summer signing to make should one of Vinicius or Rodrygo leave.
Chelsea reportedly made an offer to sign the 20-year-old in the summer, but it was said that their €68 million bid was rejected, with Juventus insisting that Yildiz was not for sale. While Arsenal strengthened their attacking options considerably in the summer, Yildiz could be Leandro Trossard’s heir on the left wing. The latter is 31 years old and yet to sign a contract extension with the Gunners.
In Liverpool’s case, it is said that they have set their sights on Yildiz as they anticipate the departure of talisman Mohamed Salah in the near future. Amid multiple interests, Juventus are reportedly looking to tie Yildiz down to a new deal. His current deal with the club runs until 2029.
