Christopher Schwarzenegger looks and feels better than ever.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s youngest son opened up about his weight loss journey for the first time at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday.
“It was a big process,” Schwarzenegger, 27, said, per People, during the panel that also featured his mom and Kelly Osbourne. “I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,’ and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.”
Christopher added: “I was like, ‘I want to go skydiving.’ And my friends were like, ‘Yeah, no shot.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t skydive.'”
The 27-year-old admitted that he’s “tried everything” to lose weight since high school.
“I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school,” he recalled. “It’s not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error.”
“And even still to this day,” Christopher added, “when you’re saying, ‘oh, before and after photos’ … I don’t feel like I’m an ‘after’ yet. I don’t feel like I’m at the point.”
Christopher also revealed that he lost 30 pounds just from removing bread from his diet.
“Weirdly enough, I gave up bread for Lent,” he shared. “I was like, ‘Well, if I’m giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity and I’m a good Catholic boy, so I’m not going to break it.’ And that was my one rule. I was like, ‘I’m not going to break Lent.’ And so I lost 30 pounds just through that.”
Christopher shocked fans with his weight loss transformation when he stepped out in LA during Easter weekend last month.
He showed off his fit figure in a navy long-sleeve shirt, khaki pants and white sneakers. Christopher also held a Chick-fil-A cup in his hand.
Christopher was joined by his older brother, “The White Lotus” star Patrick Schwarzenegger. Patrick’s fiancée, Abby Champion, was there as well.
The siblings have two sisters, Christina, 33, and Katherine, 35, who is married to Chris Pratt. Arnold, 77, is also dad to son Joseph Baena, 27, whom he welcomed from his affair with Mildred Baena.
