Are Chiefs ready for potential Travis Kelce Arrowhead swansong?

2 hours ago 1

The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to face the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day, and there will be plenty to watch for.

But one thing that might have gotten overlooked is a little storyline involving Travis Kelce.

Given that retirement is a real possibility for the future Hall of Famer, Week 17 could be the last time Chiefs Kingdom gets to see No. 87 strut his stuff.

That will hit home for a lot of Chiefs fans, but what about head coach Andy Reid?

“Yeah, I don't know if it is or not,” Reid said on if this will be Kelce's final Arrowhead game. "I haven't talked to him, but I think his numbers, personality, and the person, I think speak for themselves. Phenomenal person, has been great for the community. He's everything you want from a player representing an organization.”

Will Travis Kelce retire?

Right now, you would have to say that everything is on the table.

Plus, adding in Patrick Mahomes' ACL injury, which could see him miss the early portion of 2026, Kelce has a lot to think about.

Not to mention his personal life with Taylor Swift, as Kelce has a lot of irons in the fire off the football field.

The four-time All-Pro and three-time Super Bowl champ isn't getting any younger, and at 36 years old and 13 years in the NFL, maybe this is the end.

And if it is, Chiefs Kingdom better soak up every second Travis is on the field on Christmas Day.
