With just a few months away, the Unrivaled announced the list of players participating in the second season. Compared to last season, this season is set to have more stars suiting up. However, some big names missed the long list.
This season, the Unrivaled added stars like Paige Bueckers and Sonia Citron. Last season, Cameron Brink, who missed the entire season due to her injury, will also join the roster. But the list still misses the top bankable stars in the WNBA.
Here is the list of 5 big names missing from Unrivaled's second season.
#1 Angel Reese
There was a wide speculation that Angel Reese would be missing the second season of the 3x3 league. However, the reasons were immediately revealed. Last season, Reese played for the Rose BC, which won the inaugural season title.
The exact reason behind her absence is not known, but the league is still negotiating with some players, and perhaps fans might get some good news. Fans were already hoping for Reese and Paige Bueckers playing on the same team.
#2 Caitlin Clark
Caitlin Clark is one player who could alone change the look and seriousness of Unrivaled. After Clark missed the inaugural season, fans eagerly waited for her decision before the offseason kicked in. Some even were hopeful for her to join the league in the second season.
However, in her exit interview, the Indiana Fever star said that she would spend her offseason getting healthy, playing golf, and participating in the Team USA World Cup training camp.
#3 A'j Wilson
With her absence, A'ja Wilson has now skipped both Unrivaled seasons. The Las Vegas Aces star had a very simple reason behind her missing the inaugural season. She wanted to protect her peace and focus on her recovery. She is again sticking to the same plan.
#4 Sabrina Ionescu
Last season, Sabrina Ionescu played for the Phantom BC. Earlier, she was not bery keen on joining the league and had said that she wanted to spend the offseason with her family. However, she later joined in the middle of the season.
It seems like Ionescu won't be joining the league this time either. She has already given a peek into her offseason. Her offseason snaps are filled with spending time with her husband, including playing golf with him and going on getaways with her girlfriends.
#5 DiJonai Carrington
Last year, DiJonai Carrington played for the Mist BC. However, the Minnesota Lynx defensive guard will miss the second season with a foot injury, which also kept her out for the last few games in the 2025 WNBA season.
