Andrade made a one-off appearance for AEW in 2025, but this did not lead anywhere due to some legal issues he faced regarding his contracts. However, in 2026, he could make his return to the company, with someone by his side.
The luchador appeared for the Jacksonville-based promotion in October, but in the end, this was short-lived, as he was dealing with technicalities related to the non-compete clause of his WWE contract. After some bumps in the road, this has since then been sorted out as he appeared for other promotions, including some on the independent circuit worldwide.
Jose The Assistant, who used to manage La Faccion Ingobernable, recently made a bold claim on social media. He claimed that he would be seen alongside his former stablemates in the future. This was a vague post as he did not state which of the LFI members he would reunite with. He could start by managing Andrade once more.
He is currently appearing for several promotions outside AEW, and the two could build up their partnership in the process. When the time is right, they could reunite with the rest of LFI. This would be a major move as Andrade officially joining the faction would help their ranks, especially with both Rush and Dralistico dealing with injuries.

Andrade's next set of matches gets confirmed
Seeing as his non-compete has ended, the expectation was for the luchador to make his way to AEW, but this has not been the case. Instead, he has made his return to NJPW and is even set to compete tomorrow at Wrestle Kingdom 20 alongside United Empire.
The Japanese promotion has also announced that the former WWE Superstar will be in action during their New Year Dash show on January 5. This will be a busy next set of days for him.
Confirmed for NJPW New Year Dash!! on January 5, 2026: • TMDK vs Knockout Brothers • Konosuke Takeshita will wrestle • Andrade El Idolo will wrestle Both Takeshita/Andrade will stay an extra day in Japan. 🔥
Following this brief NJPW stint, it remains to be seen whether this will eventually lead to him returning to AEW. Seeing as nothing is holding him back, this seems to be his next main course of action, unless some other issues arise.
