Analyst sees potential trade for Eagles' $29 million weapon

It is no secret that A.J. Brown and his future with the Philadelphia Eagles are on wafer-thin ice, and in truth, have been for the best part of 24 months.

And this appears to be the offseason, where most think the Eagles are going to say "thanks, but no thanks" to Brown and move on.

From the sideline dust-ups to wanting the ball more than dropping key passes in the playoffs, which helped dump the Eagles out of the postseason, it feels like the right time to move on.

But when? For CBS Sports' Tyler Sullivan, he's given five names he thinks could be dealt during Super Bowl week, and one is Brown.

“Brown has consistently been linked to trade rumors over the last few years,” Sullivan wrote. “For Brown, he did not seem thrilled with his role in the offense this season, and, from Philadelphia's point of view, it may make sense to move on from a soon-to-be 29-year-old receiver who is due $29 million in guaranteed salary in 2026.”

Would there be a market for Brown?

Absolutely, there will be. Providing teams can put up with his antics.

We know Brown wants all the stats to show he's impacting his team in a positive way. Well, that for me rules him out of Buffalo, with Joe Brady's "everybody eats' mantra.

The Denver Broncos with Sean Payton is another interesting option, but again, would Payton put up with Brown being disgruntled? I doubt it.

Plus, $29 million in guaranteed money in 2026 is a hefty price tag.

There will be suitors for Brown because he is a stud of a weapon; he just has to reel in the antics.
