Amon-Ra St. Brown makes feelings known on expectations for 2026 after disastrous end to 2025 season

Amon-Ra St. Brown discussed what went wrong and how the team plans to respond next season. The Lions receiver didn't hold back on Detroit's collapse.

St. Brown is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a key contributor to Detroit's offensive success. He hauled in 106 catches this season and posted double-digit touchdowns (11) for the third consecutive season.

The wideout was asked what Detroit needs to do this offseason to return to winning 12 or 13 games.

"That's a good question. I wish I had all the answers right now," St. Brown said.

"A lot of us are still gonna be here. The nucleus of this team will still be here. And I think that's important. Just going into next year, knowing the guys that you have here, knowing you're familiar with the players, I think the coaches are familiar with the players. So I feel confident with the guys that we have."

Detroit was eliminated from playoff contention on Dec. 25 following a home loss to Minnesota. The final score was 23-10, ending what began as a promising campaign.

Amon-Ra St. Brown doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes next year

Amon-Ra St. Brown believes that motivation comes from disappointment. He expects offseason workouts and training camp to have a different energy in 2026.

"Going to the next year, man, I think we'll just be that much more hungry. I think starting even like off season workouts going into camp to start the season, guys will be hungry because I don't think any of us wanna have a season like we did this year, next year," St. Brown said. "So I think that's the biggest thing, just making sure we don't repeat the same things."

Detroit closes out its season against Chicago on Sunday. The Bears have already secured the NFC North title while the Lions play for pride alone.
