Amon-Ra St. Brown injury update is cause for concern ahead of Week 17

The Detroit Lions will have a quick turnaround following their Week 16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, as Detroit will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday in Week 17.

Because of that, the Lions dropped their first injury report of the week on Monday and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was on it.

St. Brown is listed with a knee issue, per the team's official injury report, and he was listed as a non-participant at practice on Monday.

The injury report was an estimation because the Lions did not hold a regular practice and instead did a walk-through.

This is obviously at least mildly concerning for the Lions ahead of their matchup versus the Vikings, but if we've learned anything over the course of St. Brown's career, it's that he's one of the toughest players in the NFL.

St. Brown has played through plenty of injuries before, and most recently through an ankle sprain before the Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers. St. Brown did not practice at all that week before suiting up.

Knowing that, we wouldn't be concerned if St. Brown doesn't practice on Tuesday and Wednesday, either. We would have to see St. Brown actually ruled out to believe it's even possible.

Rest assured, he's going to be playing on Thursday, barring a setback over the course of the week.
