Ores in The Forge are the main crafting materials that can be used to make weapons and armor. These items can be found by defeating enemies and mining in caves, making them a core part of the gameplay loop. By interacting with the game’s combat, crafting, and exploration systems, you will end up with a stash of various types of Ores.
As of this writing, the game features a total of 51 different Ores. Let’s take a look at the different types of Ores and what they do in The Forge.
What Ores do in The Forge

Weapons and armor alike require Ores to be crafted, and depending on the types of Ores used, you can end up with radically different gear. Every Ore in the game applies a multiplier to the crafted item, making a direct, tangible difference to each crafted item.
The quality of the crafted item is directly dependent on the type of Ore used. A low-rarity Ore, like Stone or Copper will yield a basic item that does the bare minimum. In contrast, high-rarity Ores like Magmaite apply a special attribute and boost stats. High-rarity Ores are scarce and require you to mine in certain areas or defeat specific enemies for a chance to drop. Conversely, low-rarity Ores are abundant, found in every nook and cranny.
Currently, the game features Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical-rarity Ores. Common are the most abundant, while Mythical the most elusive.

Of these Ores, the following have special attributes:
- Poopite: Creates a gas cloud when your HP reaches 35% that causes enemies to flee and deals up to 15% poison damage over time for five seconds.
- Obsidian: Grants up to 30% extra HP. Ability exclusive to Armors.
- Rivalite: Grants up to 20% Crit chance. Ability exclusive to Weapons.
- Uranium: Deals up to 5% of your max HP as AoE damage when in combat. Ability exclusive to Armors.
- Mythril: Grants up to 15% extra HP. Ability exclusive to Armors.
- Eye Ore: Boosts own damage by up to 15% at the cost of up to 10% HP. Ability applicable to Armors and Weapons.
- Fireite: Gives your weapon up to 30% chance of igniting targeted enemies on fire. Fire deals damage over time for two seconds. Ability exclusive to Weapons.
- Magmaite: Gives your weapon up to 35% chance of causing an explosion that deals AoE damage equivalent to 50% of your weapon’s max damage. Ability exclusive to Weapons.
- Lightite: Boosts movement speed by up to 15%. Ability exclusive to Armor.
- Demonite: Applies around a 25% chance to burn enemies when hit. Ability exclusive to Armor.
- Darkryte: Up to 15% chance to dodge enemy attacks and increases movement speed. Ability exclusive to Armor.
