All newly added legendary weapons in Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4 and how to get them

The Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4 was released on October 28, 2025. It brought about a plethora of interesting changes and also added six new Gold Weapons to the game. All of these weapons can be unlocked by completing different challenges in-game. This update, therefore, allows players to expand their arsenal with new ranged and melee Gold weapons.

The Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4 added six new Gold weapons to the game:

• Tanto
• Bow
• Kusarigama
• Naginata
• Kanabo
• Teppo

All of these weapons require you to complete different challenges in-game. All of these tasks require a lot of patience, and some even demand high skill for you to finish them. Here are some details.

How to unlock the Golden Tanto

To get the Golden Tanto, complete the Legendary Sumi-e challenge. The Legendary Sumi-e are five paintings in Assassin's Creed Shadows. These paintings are essentially captures of extraordinary animals found in very specific locations in the game. They are rather rare, and these animals mostly appear during specific seasons.

Here are their locations and seasons:

• Legendary Wise Macaques: Found at Yamashiro - Little Leaf Glade - Sarumaru Shrine at Night Time during any season.
• Dance of the Legendary Red-Crowned Crane: Found at Wakasa - Lake Suigetsu in the day in the Winter season.
• Legendary Shika Deer with Sakura: Located in Yamato - Yoshino - Sakura Meadow, and can be found during the Spring at night.
• Legendary Silver Fox: Can be found at Kii - Nakahechi Route - Kamimisu Inari Shrine at night during Autumn.
• Legendary White Tanuki: Found in Omi - The Shimmering Fields - Shigaraki Hamlet in daytime during Summer.

Collecting all of these will finish the Legendary Sumi-e challenge and unlock the Tanto introduced in Assassin's Creed Title Update 1.1.4.

How to unlock the Golden Bow

To get the Bow, you need to finish the Horse Archery challenge. They are only available to Yasuke and can be unlocked after finishing the game's Main Story. In total, there are 10 Horse Archery locations:

• Izumi Settsu
• Yamashiro
• Omi - Azuchi
• Omi - Takashima Shores
• Iga
• Harima
• Yamato
• Wakasa
• Kii
• Tamba

As mentioned earlier, you need to have Yasuke unlocked for this, which can be done after finishing Act 1. This challenge is not available for Naoe, and therefore, playing as this character will not allow you to unlock the Bow introduced in Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4.

How to unlock the Golden Kusarigama

To earn the Golden Kusarigama introduced in Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4, you need to finish all Meditations. Naoe performs the Kuji-Kiri meditation in many different locations across her journey. While playing as the character, you will encounter up to 22 different Kuji-kiri locations during gameplay.

Pay attention to these locations and perform meditation to play the mini-games associated with each of them. Finishing all of them unlocks the Golden Kusarigama for you in-game.

How to unlock the Naginata

To unlock the Naginata, you need to complete all the Kata in Assassin's Creed Shadows. These are similar to Naoe's meditative practices, except, the Kata is performed by Yasuke to find peace of mind during his journey.

There are 18 different locations where Yasuke will be able to perform Kata. The player needs to hit various button combinations to successfully finish a Kata.

How to unlock the Golden Kanabo

To unlock the Golden Kanabo in Assassin's Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.4, simply reach level 100 in-game. This is a rather straightforward challenge to fulfil. To grow your level, you need to focus on finishing quests and completing contracts. These activities provide you with a lot of XP, which helps you level up easily.

You may also participate in more castle sieges, which also provide players with a lot of XP.

How to get the Golden Teppo

Finally, you can get the Golden Teppo by upgrading your Hideout to Level 13. To do so, go to map or blueprints area. Next, open it and allow it to give you prompts for improvement.

Secondly, you can enter any area, open the build menu and begin building new areas or add cosmetics. Making improvements to your hideout allows you to level it up.
