All new weapons, tools, and structures in ARK Lost Colony (known so far)

When the ARK Lost Colony DLC drops, it will feature a wealth of new creatures, but also tools, weapons, and structures players can access. At least one part of this DLC is already available if you purchased it, the Tek Bunker. You still have to farm up the resources to build one, but it is possible to have one set up, if you purchased the DLC ahead of time.

Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a wait for the ARK Lost Colony DLC, as it received yet another delay. When it does launch though, there are plenty of fantastic new toys to play with, from Tek weapons to awesome cosmetics. Here’s what awaits in the Lost Colony DLC.

All currently known new weapons, tools, and structures coming to ARK Lost Colony

There’s a real gothic vibe to the new content in ARK Lost Colony, from the creatures to the things you can make. Some of it is genuinely quite interesting as well. One good example is the War Bench, which lets you take low-tier trash gear, and turn it into something better, potentially more useful.

Below, we’ve gone over everything we know will be in ARK Lost Colony so far, in terms of weapons, tools, structures and cosmetics. However, it’s possible that this isn’t everything, so do keep that in mind.

Weapons/Armor/Cosmetics

  • Fabricated Crossbow: Three modes (Classic/Sniper/Shotgun), and can use nearly every bolt, arrow, and harpoon in the game, so it’s functional and flexible.
  • Tek Spear: What an incredible melee weapon. You can teleport-strike with it, blink-dash, and deal non-lethal damage with Torpor mode.
  • Arctic Armor: Light-Fur set that lets you explore the cold without any loss to movement. Grants a stamina surge for the full set bonus as well.
  • The Look of the Legion: If you want to look like one of the Lost King’s forces, equip these Thrall-flavored armor and weapon skins. There are even Thrall Saddles, and a tactical Snow Ghillie.
  • Cursed Weapons/Armor: Horrific versions of Fabricator/Tek-tier gear allow you to equip two equipment traits at the same time. Can be further upgraded in the Skill Tree. However, they cannot be repaired normally. Either let them regenerate, or pay a blood tithe at the Bloodforge.
  • Barracks of the Damned: A cosmetic Tileset for your base themed around Thralls. Billboards, Signs, Industrial Vaults, Storage Boxes, Lamps, and furniture all themed after the Necrocene.

Tools

  • Holo-Decoy: Create a digital clone of yourself to fool creatures so you can get away, or set up traps to catch them.
  • Base Templating System: Use the TEmplate Hammer and Clipboard to save/replicate your base designs, share them, and snap them onto your fortress easily.
  • Medical Stand: Connect it to nearby creatures to auto-feed narcotics to them for easier taming, give them stimulants or bloodpacks, or drain health to generate new supply.
  • Plant Proto Species B: A carnivorous, botanical creature. If someone harvests resources from it, it will trigger a silent alarm that summons a swarm of Revenants.

Structures

  • Bloodforge: A new crafting station that can repair anything, or reinforce it beyond its normal cap, if you pay a blood tithe.
  • War Bench: Throw in three low-quality items to make a single, better piece of gear.
  • Cryo-Hospital: Tek-tier storage that grants whatever is inside a Cryopod stored here passive exp, heals, sustains them, and restores consciousness.
  • Shoulder Pet Display Stand and Companion Bed: Place your favorite friends on wall-mounted/stand displays.
  • Tek-Bunker: Build an incredible underground base to further expand your base, or simply have everything underground.

Personally, I’m excited for the Fabricated Crossbow, and it might just be one of the best weapons in the game. With wild flexibility in terms of ammo (Bolts, Arrows, Harpoons), and three wild modes for Standard, Long-Range, or CC-style fire, it’s going to be a big hit.

The Tek Spear also sounds incredible, with blink-dashing, teleport strikes, and the ability to deal non-lethal damage for taming? It can also create a defensive field to deflect incoming projectiles and block strikes! What a huge get for ARK Lost Colony players.

Bloodforge will make it easier to repair things, if you’re willing to pay in blood, and the Holo-Decoy sounds like you can stand it on top of traps and lure enemies right into them, for easier taming in ARK Lost Colony.
