ARK Survival Ascended’s Lost Colony DLC is a massive update to the game, adding a suite of new creatures for players to tame, ride, and breed. Some of these are already in the game, provided you purchased the DLC already. Unfortunately, this DLC has also been hit with some delays, so players cannot quite yet jump in and start catching these new creatures, but the hope is that soon enough, that will be fixed.

Some players may already have the cute snow fox Veilwyn and the mighty, horrific Ossidon, but the others are just not there yet. Here are all of the new creatures we’re aware of that will be in the ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC.

There are quite a few new creatures being added to ARK Survival Ascended’s Lost Colony DLC. From horrific monstrosities, to bio-engineered Thralls, there’s something for everyone in this coming update. There are massive flying monsters, telekinetic dragons, and violent primates all available for players to tame:

  • Veilwyn: A cute, teleporting arctic fox. Useful to have around, but has other forms.
  • Solwyn: Majestic and useful, it can create cool ice bridges, and also be used as a mount.
  • Malwyn: The more aggressive, violent version of the Veilwyn. Teleports, curses, and has teleabsorptive abilities to weaken foes.
  • Ossidon: A huge, disgruntled primate that can roll up balls of sludge to batter enemies.
  • Gloon: A pecuilar thing, it can fire laser beams, and force creatures to go into a violent bloodlust.
  • Desmodus: A returning creature, the master of the night can latch onto cave walls, and use echolocation to target foes.
  • Cryolophosaurus: Shoots narcotic sludge from its biological artillery, but it can also buff your allies.
  • Gigadesmodus: A flying fortress of a creature, it can even put a literal mobile command center on its back. Fly the unfriendly skies in safety.
  • Aureliax: A telekinetic dragon that can aid your allies, or use gravity to destroy foes. Easily one of the coolest flying creatures in the game.
  • Thralls: Intelligent, bio-engineered creatures. They can wear armor and use teleporters. You get your own army with the Thralls.
  • Gargoyles: Relentless, powerful stone creatures.
  • Neophytes: As big as Gigantophithecus, they’re gigantic bat-like creatures that aren’t affected by most (if any) creature attacks.
  • Revenants: The mindless remnants of Thralls and Dinos, infected by liquid Edmundium. They run in packs and seek to simply overrun foes with numbers.

There are some really fascinating creatures available in the ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC, too. The game now has its own version of Eevee, with the Veilwyn. We know of at least two alternate forms of it: Solwyn and Malwyn.

The Solwyn is larger, and can carry you like a mount. That form occurs after a Solwyn eats Vulpite. The Malwyn is more violent and malicious, has teleportation powers, and can curse its enemies.

Other ARK Survival Ascended standouts include the feral bat-like Nephytes. As tall as Gigantopithecus, and with a hide nearly impervious to creature attacks, it’s going to be interesting to see how we can even tame these.

There’s also the incredibly gross Gloon, a creation of a mad scientist. It can mesmerize its foes, and can spit up a goop that can drive Aberrations and other creatures into a bloodlust. It’s bizarre, but also kind of fascinating in its own way.

At this time, it’s unknown if the ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC will feature other unknown creatures. These are just the ones that have been confirmed by Studio Wildcard, before the update went live.
