Dominance MMA founder and MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz took offense to some comments made by Ilia Topuria recent on Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
Topuria is on a break from MMA to deal with personal issues. The UFC lightweight champion posted a message claiming that he was being extorted and accused of domestic violence.
Many MMA stars have come out in support of Topuria, some have criticized him and blamed him for the issues cropping up.
However, Topuria took shots at Khabib and Makhachev during a recent interview with Eldoberdan MMA. ‘El Matador’ claimed he would knock out Makhachev and called the duo “cocky and arrogant.”

Topuria also wanted to submit Makhachev in front of Khabib and then beat up ‘The Eagle’. Abdelaziz, who has managed Khabib and is the manager of Makhachev, slammed these comments from the lightweight champion.
Abdelaziz posted this message on X:
“I'm a little bit confused. Everybody giving this guy space and respect to resolve his family problems. And should be. But when he come out talking about Habib, Islam, Arman, for no reason. And he's not even fighting. I'm not sure if people should give him a pass anymore.”Check out Ali Abdelaziz’s message below:

Chael Sonnen discusses Ilia Topuria being stripped of title
Ilia Topuria seems out of action for a while. The UFC has also set up an interim lightweight title fight between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett for UFC 324.
The winner of that fight should, theoretically, fight Topuria for the undisputed gold. Chael Sonnen brought up the possibility of ‘El Matador’ being stripped of the title.
Sonnen was speaking to a UFC contact and claimed that due to Topuria not being injured or unwell, he could be stripped:
“I don’t want him stripped. I am on Ilia’s side of it. I don’t really like what he is going through. I think he has shared more with us than he has to. I also think he is innocent. He seems like a good guy. I don’t think he would have done these things, however, they gotta strip him. If he is not making the claim that he is injured and has some kind of a doctor’s report to back it up, as bogus as those can be, he’s gotta be stripped.”Why did you not like this content?
