WWE Superstars Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair formed a friendship of convenience to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Despite this, their bond didn’t fall apart after they dropped the titles to The Kabuki Warriors on RAW two weeks ago. However, this week’s episode of SmackDown showed Lexi tricking Flair into an uncomfortable confrontation.
The Queen has voiced her issues with Rhea Ripley and even walked out on Bliss before rejoining her for the upcoming WarGames match at the 2025 Survivor Series. But Little Miss Bliss knows that Flair will need to fight alongside everyone and not just her in San Diego on November 29.
Thus, she set up a meeting between Mami and Charlotte Flair without informing her tag team partner. Moreover, she left the two of them to talk things out, exiting the room with IYO SKY.
Flair rescued Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, and Alexa Bliss on this week’s episode of RAW when the trio got cornered by Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend. The 14-time women's world champion took on the heel wrestlers with a kendo stick and hugged Lexi afterward to ward them off.
Despite this saving act, it was clear that the union of the babyfaces still had two in-groups. Therefore, Bliss’ idea to have Mami and Flair talk ahead of their big WarGames match was necessary.
The history between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley
The Eradicator and Flair started their feud even before Mami made it to the main roster. Rhea Ripley asked The Queen to challenge her for the NXT Women’s Championship after the latter won the 2020 Royal Rumble.
The Australian star claimed that since Charlotte Flair had already defeated Bayley and Becky Lynch, she should face her and see if she could win. Despite the sheer confidence Ripley had in herself, the 14-time women’s champion crushed her at WrestleMania 36.
Mami and Flair continued their feud for years, with the former Judgment Day member finally getting her revenge at WrestleMania 39. This was Ripley’s first world title, as she became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion after defeating The Queen. It will be interesting to see if they will function as a unit in San Diego or if their differences will cost them at the Survivor Series.
