AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo welcome new family member; make a request to fans 

AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo welcomed a new family member. The family got an unexpected Christmas present this year.

Over the last few weeks, the couple has been sharing hilarious tweets, giving the fans an insight into their family life. Tay Melo recently created a presentation on why the family should get a dog. Sammy was completely against the idea and sat through several slides where his wife explained why they should have a canine companion. Tay even joked that she could divorce the "Spanish God" if he continued to disagree.

However, things changed this Christmas as Sammy uploaded a new video of the family. The video showed Santa showing up at the house with a puppy. Sammy and Tay's daughter, Luna, was ecstatic seeing the new member and immediately started playing with the adorable pooch. Guevara wrote on Twitter that the slides worked, and they finally got a dog for Christmas. He even requested fans to suggest girl names for their new family member.

"I guess the power point worked… This Christmas came with four paws. WE NEED A GIRL NAME, give us ideas. Best gift we could've asked for," Sammy wrote.

Sammy Guevara recently won a title

Sammy Guevara has long been considered one of the four pillars of AEW. The star made a name for himself in the early days of the promotion and has continued to shine in various TV programs for the company.

During a recent appearance at ROH Final Battle 2025, Guevara and The Beast Morton captured the vacant ROH World Tag Team Championships by defeating Adam Priest and Tommy Billington.

The star is currently not booked in any major angles in AEW. His last match for the promotion was on the November 15 episode of Collision, where he featured in an eight-man tag team match.
