Tony Khan's AEW roster had one of the most promising talents, Brodie Lee, following his departure from WWE in 2019. However, he unexpectedly left for the heavenly abode, and Khan recently decided to pay tribute to the late wrestler.

Brodie Lee came to prominence as a member of The Wyatt Family in WWE. After he debuted in AEW in 2020, Lee began a captivating singles run that led him to also become the TNT champion on one occasion. However, the Exalted One passed away on November 26, 2020, due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 41.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to his X to pen down a heartfelt note for Lee on the occasion of his fifth death anniversary. He called Lee an amazing wrestler and a big family man, while admiring his love for the business and remembering him fondly.

"5 years ago today, the world lost Jon Huber, a great man known to fans as Mr. Brodie Lee + Luke Harper. His family came first, his loving wife Amanda and their sons Brodie + Nolan. He loved wrestling, + he was an amazing wrestler. He loved you fans. Please keep him in your hearts."

Tony Khan announced injured AEW star's return to in-ring action

Tony Khan recently announced that Darby Allin, who got injured during his match against Kevin Knight in the Continental Classic tournament a few weeks ago, will return to the ring. This came after the former TNT champion returned to Dynamite this week and was attacked by Gabe Kidd. The altercation led to Khan making the announcement of their match at the upcoming AEW Worlds End pay-per-view.

"#AEWWorldsEnd HBO Max 8pmET/5pmPT THIS SATURDAY 12/27 @GabeKidd0115 vs @DarbyAllin Kidd said his fight vs Darby won't be over until he's "pushing up daisies", but Darby vowed to make Saturday Gabe's "world's end!" Gabe Kidd + Darby Allin go to war at Worlds End THIS SATURDAY!"

With the stage set for this epic collision, it will be interesting to see who walks out as the victor at Worlds End this year.
