AEW officially announces 20-time champion is returning to in-ring action on Dynamite

A former AEW World Champion has been announced for a return to in-ring action after over three months for Dynamite. The top star recently made his blockbuster return on TV.

The 20-time champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is slated for his in-ring return on Dynamite. Max has won a total of 20 titles in his wrestling career, including the titles on indies as well as the AEW World and International titles. He made his return after a few months of absence last Wednesday at Holiday Bash and is now set for his in-ring return as well.

MJF last competed in a brutal tables n' tacks match at All Out 2025 in September, where he lost to Mark Briscoe. Meanwhile, three months after his last bout, The Salt of the Earth has been announced to be in action for Dynamite: 34th Street this upcoming Wednesday. His opponent has not been revealed yet.

Aside from MJF's return to action, two other segments have also been announced for Dynamite: 34th Street this Wednesday. The AEW Women's World Champion, Kris Statlander will be face-to-face with Jamie Hayter ahead of their title match at Worlds End 2025. Furthermore, Ricochet will take on Bandido in the Dynamite Diamond Ring final match as well.


AEW star has been added to the World title match at Worlds End

The top AEW star, Maxwell Jacob Friedman also added himself to the World Championship match at Worlds End 2025. Upon his return at Holiday Bash last Wednesday, MJF confronted the current champion, Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page during their contract signing for the world title encounter.

The Salt of the Earth cashed in his World title contract, which he won at All In Texas, in advance to add himself to the match. It was later announced that Joe will defend his World title against Swerve, Hangman, and Max in a four-way match at Worlds End 2025.

It will be interesting to see if MJF manages to capture the World Championship at the pay-per-view on December 27.
