#4. Andrade returns to New Japan Pro Wrestling amid uncertain AEW future
Andrade has officially returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling, marking his first appearance for the promotion since 2015. El Idolo's return was revealed during NJPW’s Road to Tokyo Dome event, where he was introduced as the newest member of the United Empire faction. The alignment places him alongside established names such as Great-O-Khan, Henare, and Callum Newman, signaling a major development for the group as it heads into the company’s biggest annual event. Andrade is scheduled to compete at WrestleKingdom 2026, where United Empire will take part in a high-profile 5-on-5 match against the Bullet Club War Dogs.

#3. Chris Jericho's band, Fozz, set to tour the United Kingdom
Chris Jericho has confirmed his next major set of appearances outside All Elite Wrestling, sparking more discussion about his future in professional wrestling. Le Champion announced that his band, Fozzy, will be touring the United Kingdom beginning in February 2026. The confirmation comes at a time when reports suggest that Jericho’s contract with Tony Khan's promotion could expire toward the end of 2025.

Moreover, the timing of the announcement has drawn attention amid ongoing rumors linking Jericho to a possible return to WWE for a retirement run. Reports indicate WWE would be interested in bringing the former AEW World Champion back if he becomes available. While there are chances that AEW may present Jericho with a new contract offer, no official decision on his wrestling future has been announced.
#2. Danhausen reportedly leaving AEW by February 2026
Danhausen’s future with All Elite Wrestling appears increasingly uncertain, according to recent reports from Fightful. The popular yet long-absent star is expected to become a free agent in February 2026. While his original contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion was due to expire earlier, Tony Khan reportedly added injury time to extend the deal.
Meanwhile, Danhausen has not appeared on All Elite Wrestling programming for nearly two years and has not been factored into creative plans for several months. His last appearance in a Tony Khan promotion took place at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle event in December 2024. Since then, there have been no indications of a return to AEW. Moreover, Danhausen is another star who's been linked to a move to WWE, with some wrestling veterans believing that he's tailor-made for the Stamford-based promotion.
#1. Jon Moxley set to face Kyle Fletcher at AEW Worlds End 2025
Jon Moxley’s status for Worlds End 2025 has been officially confirmed following the tapings for the Christmas week episodes of Dynamite and Collision. Moxley competed in his final Blue League match of the Continental Classic against Orange Cassidy, securing a victory that brought his total to nine points. The win earned him a place in the tournament’s semi-finals.
As a result, Moxley is now scheduled to face Gold League standout Kyle Fletcher at Worlds End 2025. The semi-final lineup was finalized with confirmation of the second match, which will see Kazuchika Okada take on Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita entered the semi-finals as the undefeated leader of the Blue League, setting up two high-stakes matches at the upcoming pay-per-view.
