BTS' SUGA, otherwise known as Min Yoon-gi, is a South Korean rapper, record producer, and songwriter, who released his first solo project, a mixtape titled Agust D, in 2016. The album held its title track under the same name as the album, and soon after its release, it ranked number three on Billboard's World Albums Chart.

He followed up his mixtape series with another album in 2020, with D-2, which features its title track as the song, Daechwita. This mixtape also garnered much commercial success with its rank 11 on the US Billboard 200, rank 7 on the UK Album Charts, and rank 2 on Australia's ARIA Album Chart. Alongside these solo releases, he also worked on production and composition for external projects.

He also produced the song You for the Japanese singer, ØMI, and also featured in Juice Wrld's Girl Of My Dreams, which was included in his posthumous album, Fighting Demons. The track also debuted at number 29 on Billboard Hot 100.

Around early 2022, he co-wrote and featured on Psy's That That, and later that year, he kick-started his drinking show, Suchwita. He was named the ambassador of Valentino and the NBA in January 2023. The documentary series showcases several road trips across different countries that the idol went on during the creation of his D-Day album. SUGA also went on a solo world tour called D-Day Tour, between April and September, before enlisting in the military as a social worker for his mandatory service.

He was discharged in June 2025, and the idol has not made any public appearances or engaged in activities in the industry. Therefore, fans and netizens have been eagerly and patiently awaiting the return of the idol.
