Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) has just taken to social media to send a message to his fans. This comes amidst his absence from AEW and rumors that he could return to WWE and face John Cena.
The Rated-R Superstar has not been seen since All Out, where he teamed up with Christian Cage to take on FTR. On-screen, he revealed he was going on a hiatus to take care of his family after FTR took out his wife, Beth Phoenix. Reports have mentioned that his absence was due to him filming his other projects outside the ring.
Adam Copeland has taken to Instagram to reveal that he will be getting his own Big Rubber Guy action figure. He revealed that fans will get to pre-order this on ShopAEW until November 14th. The veteran also named the different variants they can choose from, including him being in Sting face paint, and his The Brood look at Double or Nothing last year.
"Big. Rubber. Guy. Only available for pre order until Nov.14 only on @shopaew #brood #cope"Why has Adam Copeland been linked to be John Cena's final opponent?
At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, John Cena revealed that a tournament would be held to determine his final opponent next month. This will consist of superstars from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and outside the company. He also revealed that these will include those he has a storied past.
"On my last day, I wanna face whoever is willing to step up and seize the same kind of opportunity I was given on my first day. Therefore, starting a week from Monday on RAW from my hometown in Boston, a 16-man tournament will commence. The field will be chosen at random. Filled with competitors from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and maybe even some faces who don't even work here. There will be stars with whom I have a storied history...," he said..@JohnCena's FINAL opponent will be determined by "The Last Time is Now Tournament". Who will it be?! 👀
This raised the speculation of Adam Copeland returning to WWE, given that he was one of Cena's former rivals that he had yet to face before his retirement. However, this rumor was debunked as Copeland is currently under contract with AEW. His current absence is only due to his endeavors outside the company.
