Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) has suddenly made a great reference to John Cena a few hours before his retirement match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. This was regarding their feud in the past.

Later today, the 17-time world champion will be competing in his retirement match against Gunther. The entire world will be tuned in for this one, as it will be the end of an era, with one of wrestling's icons hanging up their boots. The Ring General looks to have all the momentum heading into this match after he won the Last Time is Now tournament to earn the opportunity to retire Cena.

A few hours ago, Adam Copeland took to Instagram to seemingly pay tribute to John Cena before his final match. He posted a photo of their cameo in South Park back in 2009. This featured cartoon versions of the two of them cutting promos in the ring.

Cope's post can be seen below.

Several other AEW stars have paid tribute to John Cena

Apart from the Rated-R Superstar, several other AEW stars have posted tribute messages for the Greatest of All Time heading into his retirement match later tonight in Washington.

Danhausen was one of them, as he posted a picture they shared after meeting one another at a New York Comic Con a few years ago.

Andrade also posted a message for the WWE icon, as he included a photo from their match in 2018.

These are two of the many stars around the wrestling world who have shared tributes to Cena on social media. With there being a few more hours still, WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, there might still be some more tributes that will be posted. This will be a monumental moment, as one of the biggest names in wrestling history is calling it a career.
