Following the conclusion of her week at The Annika, Kai Trump shared her thoughts on her LPGA debut. The 18-year-old golfer called it a lifelong dream come true while adding that it was just the start of a new journey.
On Friday, November 14, Kai Trump carded a 5-over 75 in the second round of The Annika Driven By Gainbridge At Pelican 2025 and missed the cut. She finished the week last on the leaderboard at 18-over.
On Saturday, November 15, Trump summed up her debut LPGA week in a heartfelt note.
"What an incredible honor and opportunity to compete in my first LPGA Tour Event at The Annika," she wrote on Instagream. "This week was an absolute dream come true. There are so many amazing people I want to thank for making it happen and for being so supportive. Kai Trump entered the Pelican Golf Club as one of the three sponsor invites for the Annika Driven By Gainbridge At Pelican 2025. Being Donald Trump's granddaughter, the hype around her was quite high, and fans were excited to see the young golfer.
The first round didn't go as expected for Kai Trump, as she carded a 13-over 83 without picking a single birdie. Her opening round featured nine bogeys and two double bogeys. In her admission, the nerves were high on Day 1, but she settled in on the following round.
It also got reflected in Trump's performance, as she made the first birdie of her LPGA career on the third hole. The 18-year-old golfer also picked up three more birdies, but four bogeys and two double bogeys resulted in her shooting 75 and finishing at 18-over.
