WWE star John Cena is finishing off his retirement tour this weekend. The star will officially retire at Saturday Night's Main Event this week.

After a career spanning over two decades, Cena will finally hang up his boots this weekend. His final match will be against Gunther. The Ring General won the Last Time is Now tournament to emerge as the final opponent for John. He defeated the likes of Je'Von Evans, Carmelo Hayes, Solo Sikoa, and LA Knight in the finals to advance through the tournament.

As Cena's retirement draws near, tributes have poured in from several wrestling stars. WWE, in fact, released a tribute video where multiple stars broke character and honored the legend. Major stars such as Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and even Brock Lesnar were part of the video package. Several AEW stars like Samoa Joe, Adam Copeland, and Mercedes Moné also paid homage to the star. Recently, AEW star Danhausen also posted a story on his Instagram account. The picture was of him with the Cenation Leader. The two stars met at the New York Comic Con a few years ago. Danhausen is currently injured and hasn't been seen on AEW for a while.

There will be a post-show after John Cena's retirement match

In a historic development, WWE announced that this edition of Saturday Night's Main Event will also have a post-show segment. This is the first time that the special event is getting a post-show.

The WWE broadcast team will analyse the events of the night and reflect on Cena's last match. Chief Content Officer and head of creative, Triple H is almost certain to make an appearance. Other stars featured in the event will also appear.
