Aaron Rodgers makes wild claims about ex Shailene Woodley

Aaron Rodgers is tired of his name being dragged through the mud. 

Although he seems to be happy with his new wife, Brittani, he hasn't forgotten about all the alleged lies his former flames have told about him. 

And he wants them to stop. 

Earlier this week, Rodgers, 42, had plenty to say about his past relationships, including his former fiancée, "Big Little Lies" actress Shailene Woodley. 

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback didn't hold back when he opened up about his 34-year-old ex on teammate Cam Heyward's Sept. 10 episode of the "Not Just Football" podcast. 

Rodgers went as far as to claim that Woodley wanted to sleep with another man just days after accepting his proposal. 

"I propose, and she says 'Yes.' Now, she maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no," Rodgers recalled. "But not a couple of days after that, she tells me, 'You know, before we get married, I gotta go f--- this guy.'"

According to the NFL star, Woodley claims that he "ruined her life and gave her a crazy depression" after they split.

But he says she was the one who called off their one-year engagement in March 2021. 

“We had a couple of times that we tried to get reunited, and nothing ever happened,” Rodgers said. “She literally told me, ‘I don’t want to be with you.'”

Rodgers says he finally felt compelled to speak out after hearing too many false narratives of his past relationships that he says simply aren't true.

Several of the NFL star's exes have painted Rodgers as the problem in their relationship over the years. He strongly disputes these claims. 

In a 2024 interview with "Outside" magazine, Woodley described her relationship with Rodgers as a "toxic situation."

"I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy," she told the outlet. "I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment. I knew I was depressed when I looked at a tree and felt nothing."

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, who dated Rodgers from 2018 to 2020, previously opened up about their relationship, describing the relationship as "emotionally abusive."

Rodgers denies that he was a bad partner. 

"They portray things a certain way, because they can get away with it," the Steelers quarterback said. 

He argued that his exes continue to use his name to generate attention for themselves.

"All due respect … no one knows what they’re doing,” he added. “The height of their fame is when they were with me. They get clicks when they say my name … they get clicks when they say my name because I am a lightning rod. People actually give a f---."

"Stop talking about me," Rodgers continued. "You’re not relevant … Move on with your life. Also, two, you’re lying about what actually happened … Like, I was actually a good partner."
