Nuggets three-time MVP Nikola Jokic is fed up over something that will disappoint fans

The Denver Nuggets did not have the best offseason compared to other teams around the league, and it is largely due to the financial restrictions they were under. It has been difficult for the Nuggets to construct the roster they want, but they were still able to get it to where it needed to be.

All eyes are on Nikola Jokic, as this is his contract year. However, some believe he is on a team that has punted on its future.

“Despite all of the accolades he's already piled up, Jokić is smack-dab in the middle of his prime. The 31-year-old has a mostly ground-bound game that should age relatively well. And his team basically just punted on the restricted free agency of its biggest and perhaps best upside bet,” Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey wrote.

Jokic is believed to want to come back to Denver. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon revealed that Jokic can say that all he wants, but until he actually signs, teams are going to position themselves for a chance to get him.

“[Nikola Jokic] can profess his loyalty to the [Denver] Nuggets, there's still going to be teams that are positioning themselves and monitoring that. ... It's the same thing with Luka. He's done nothing but express optimism and excitement ... but it's not that long-term of an extension,” MacMahon said.

However, Jokic just opened up about something that might make some fans mad or disappointed. The NBA champion mentioned how he does not like being bothered in public.

“I'm getting more and more bothered by popularity. This is going to sound corny, but, I'm getting ruder to people who approach me. Honestly, it's tiring…Some people around me know, I don't take pictures because it's my time. I'll sound rude again, but what can I do? If people can't understand me, I understand everything, but it's been 11-12 years and enough is enough,” Jokic said.

Even though many might not like it, getting recognized every time he goes somewhere has to be aggravating. Jokic is certainly fed up with the fame that comes with being an NBA player.

He is likely out to dinner or doing something with his family and getting asked by fans for pictures or other things. After a certain point, it becomes old. Fans might think it is egotistical, but for Jokic, it truly seems like he has reached his tipping point with the constant attention.

Jokic has been dealing with the attention for more than a decade, and he is now making it clear that he wants his personal time to remain his own.
