New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton impressed team captain Aaron Judge with his socially responsible endeavour in December. Stanton hosted a special Play Ball event in his hometown area of Tujinga last Wednesday.

The Play Ball event is a global youth initiative spearheaded by the MLB to promote participation in baseball and softball. The events occur not only in the US, but also in Asia, Africa, Australia, the UK and Latin America.

On Monday, Stanton shared a multisnap post on his Instagram, highlighting the moments from the Play Ball event in California.

"Growing up Tujunga little league was my favorite place on earth, couldn’t get enough time there from playing in the trails & mountain range behind the fields to my first home run over a fence. Where I built the love for the game ⚾️," Stanton captioned the post. "Let’s not forget the snack bar that I clearly couldn’t get enough of as I still somehow fit in my little league jersey that I wore there in red🤣. Such a fun day hanging & reminiscing. Santa G will be back! Thank you to everyone who helped out. Happy holidays 🙏🏽," he added.

Seemingly impressed by his teammate, Aaron Judge dropped a two-word reaction.

"Love this," Judge wrote.

Judge and Stanton are the two longest tenured players on the Yankees. The three-time American League MVP debuted in 2017. Meanwhile, Stanton joined the next year, arriving via trade from the Miami Marlins.

Aaron Judge reacts to Bryce Harper joining Team USA's WBC roster

Team USA was the runner-up in the 2023 WBC, losing to Shohei Ohtani's Team Japan. Although Team USA featured big names like Mike Trout, Mookie Betts and Trea Turner, they didn't feature superstars like Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper.

That will change in the 2026 WBC. Skipper Mark DeRosa announced in April that Aaron Judge will lead Team USA. Moreover, Harper announced his commitment last Tuesday with an Instagram post.

"Put the colors on my chest for the 1st time when I was 15. No other feeling like it. I’m excited to announce I will be representing Team USA this year in the WBC. Merica! 🇺🇸 #forglory," Harper captioned the post.

David Bednar, Clay Holmes, Nolan McLean, Mason Miller, Joe Ryan, Paul Skenes, Tarik Skubal, Logan Webb, Garret Cleavinger, Garret Whitlock and Griffin Jax are the pitchers on the team.
