A.J. Brown trade rumor from Eagles insider is bad news for Bills, Broncos, Patriots

A.J. Brown has been the center of trade rumors over the last few weeks after a tumultuous 2025 campaign, but it looks like the star wide receiver isn't going anywhere.

During a recent appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic, Eagles insider Derrick Gunn said Philadelphia wants to retain Brown and doesn't have plans to trade him.

Gunn also added that he believes Brown always wanted to be with the Eagles despite a rough year in 2025.

"The Eagles want A.J. Brown in an Eagles uniform in 2026, Gunn said. "I believe he never wanted to get out of town... A.J. has always wanted to be here. He just wanted the offense to be similar to what it was in 2024 in terms of production."

Brown's rumored desire to stay in Philadelphia is great news for the Eagles, obviously, but a horrible development for the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots.

Buffalo, Denver, and New England are all expected to be in the wide receiver market this offseason, and if Philadelphia isn't considering trading Brown, it will significantly affect the market.

The Bills desperately need to find a legitimate No. 1 receiver for quarterback Josh Allen, and Brown would've been that.

As for the Broncos and Patriots, both teams already have top receiving options in Courtland Sutton and Stefon Diffs, but adding Brown would've taken their passing offenses to another level.

With Brown likely remaining with the Eagles, Buffalo, Denver, and New England will have to find other ways to bolster their wide receiver groups for 2026.
