A.J. Brown's future is as murky as a Louisiana bog. With so much uncertainty surrounding the wide receiver, many fans have all but come to terms with the chances that he gets dealt. At age 28, there's still plenty of gas in the tank, but with the Philadelphia Eagles hoping to get ready for a deep playoff push, the last thing they can afford to do is trade the receiver to a future playoff opponent.

Nevertheless, the Eagles could set themselves up nicely for 2026 and beyond if they find the correct landing spot for the right price.

There have been some questions about whether the Eagles are interested in trading Brown, but per SB Nation, Mike Florio opened the door on Wednesday to the team trying to drum up the market for him. He is far from the only one bracing for the news of a deal.

A.J. Brown Trade Destinations: 5 best fits

#5 - Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are housed in the NFC, which, at face value, makes it a bad spot to trade Brown. However, the Cardinals are stuck at the bottom of a perennially tough-as-nails NFC West.

The chances of A.J. Brown alone reversing the team's fortunes over the past decades are slim to none. However, the Cardinals don't have much choice but to hope to wring some level of success out of Kyler Murray by building around him. Brown would be a big step forward for the offense. Jonathan Gannon has ties to Philadelphia as well, which could make the move welcomed by Brown as well.

#4 - Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars surged and then stumbled. It's a huge year for Trevor Lawrence, who has struggled. As such, if the Jaguars can get A.J. Brown to place with Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Lawrence could be elevated to give the team their best chances of an AFC Championship game since the Blake Bortles era.

Located in the AFC, there's almost no chance of the trade coming back to bite the Eagles. Plus, if the trade doesn't work out for Jacksonville, Philadelphia could end up with a quality pick in 2026 or later.

#3 - Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are no stranger to players with loud personalities. Mike Tomlin has been able to tame even the biggest personalities like Antonio Brown, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, George Pickens, and others.

Tomlin would have no trouble clamping down on A.J. Brown, keeping him focused. Plus, the Steelers are in need of a skill position boost with their defense uncharacteristically struggling this season.

#2 - Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos might be a receiver away from rising to be the class of the AFC. Denver nearly beat the top-seeded Indianapolis Colts if not for a late questionable flag. The weakest room on the roster is arguably the receiver room with an age 30 Courtland Sutton leading the unit.

Adding A.J. Brown opposite Sutton would help the offense complement the perennially impressive defense. With the Kansas City Chiefs taking shape in the AFC West, Denver might need some reinforcements before it faces the team twice in the second half of the season.

#1 - New England Patriots

The New England Patriots would be a full-circle moment for A.J. Brown, who earned his initial stardom under the tutelage of Mike Vrabel. The Patriots need receiver help, and Brown would be a solid solution.

Brown, Stefon Diggs, and the surging Kayshon Boutte, plus Hunter Henry, could make for a playoff passing game that could take New England back to January. Plus, the move would give the team more time to help rebuild the receiver room over the next few seasons, with Diggs likely in the final stretch of his WR1 years in the NFL.
