76ers sign seven-foot-six giant to potentially pair with ex-Lakers LeBron James, Jaylen Brown

The Philadelphia 76ers have become one of the biggest stories of the summer after making several major moves. The past few months could not have gone much better for the organization, as Philadelphia was able to land two NBA champions.

First, Philadelphia checked in on Jaylen Brown after his relationship with the Boston Celtics began to deteriorate. The 76ers ultimately went on to trade for him.

“Jaylen Brown has a new home, as the Boston Celtics agreed to send the former NBA Finals MVP to the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster trade Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania. The 76ers are sending Paul George, two first-round picks (2028, 2031) and two second-round selections (2028, 2030) to Boston to complete the deal, sources said,” ESPN wrote.

Then, all eyes turned toward the possibility of adding LeBron James after Philadelphia acquired Brown. The four-time NBA champion ultimately signed with the 76ers.

“LeBron James is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers for his final run at another NBA championship, he announced Friday,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin wrote. “James, 41, is signing a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul told ESPN's Shams Charania.”

On Tuesday afternoon, the organization made a trio of signings. One of the names was Tacko Fall, who is known for being one of the tallest players ever to play in the NBA.

“The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Tacko Fall, Jameer Nelson Jr. and Saint Thomas, the team announced. All three players are on Exhibit 10 deals, a source told ESPN, and will be a part of Sixers training camp,” McMenamin posted.

Fall stands at a whopping 7-foot-6. To put that into perspective, he is taller than Victor Wembanyama. He is joining Philadelphia on an Exhibit 10 contract, which gives him an opportunity to compete for a two-way contract and potentially earn a spot on the regular-season roster.

If Fall does earn a two-way contract, he would have the opportunity to play alongside Brown and James. James, the former Los Angeles Laker, has never played alongside someone of Fall’s height.

Fall’s size could create some unique opportunities for Philadelphia. His ability to set screens, finish around the rim and create space for teammates could potentially make him an intriguing complement to James and Brown if he gets that chance.
