The Philadelphia 76ers have been fighting to remain in contention for a top-eight seed in the Eastern Conference, going 5-5 in their last 10 games despite injuries to key players.

Tyrese Maxey has missed the last nine games due to a finger injury, while Joel Embiid and Kelly Oubre Jr. have also been sidelined.

As a result, the 76ers sit seventh in a tightly contested Play-In Tournament picture. The Charlotte Hornets sit 10th, trailing Philadelphia by just one and a half games.

Orlando and Miami are in between, within a game of Philadelphia.

That said, with 10 games remaining, the 76ers received encouraging news Tuesday.

According to NBA insider Tim Bontemps, Philadelphia has upgraded Embiid to questionable for Wednesday's game against Chicago.

Although Embiid had a healthy stretch earlier in the year, he's been hit  by injuries once more and has only suited up for 33 matchups this season. However, when healthy, he's performed.

In those 33 contests, Embiid is averaging 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists.

Additionally, the team will have Paul George back from a 25-games PED suspension.

George has not suited up for the 76ers since late January.

With George returning and the possibility of Embiid joining him, Philadelphia will hope to finish strong in order to get out of Play-In tr\erritory.

They trail the Atlanta Hawks by one and a half games for the sixth seed.

Scheduling may be on their side as the 76ers have the 15th easiest remaining schedule, while the Hawks have the fourth most difficult.
