As per a new pitch, a WWE megastar could potentially turn babyface soon and go on to face a current dominant heel in a generational dream match. On the recent episode of his podcast, Sam Roberts pitched the idea of Brock Lesnar possibly turning babyface to take on Gunther for a clash of behemoths.

The Ring General is arguably amidst the greatest run of his career, having retired WWE stalwarts like Goldberg and, most recently, John Cena, at SNME 2025. Moreover, the global juggernaut has also set up potential clashes for Gunther against AJ Styles and reigning World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

Speaking on his NotSam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts predicted more opponents WWE could be planning for Gunther as he solidifies his position as a "career killer" in the company. The RAW Recap host believes the promotion could have Brock Lesnar turn babyface for a mouth-watering match against Gunther.

"I mean, of course, I’ve thought about Brock vs. Gunther and I think it’ll happen. Cena doesn’t have to have anything to do with it. I do think it’ll happen but like..I think there’s still heat to pay off with Brock. You could just turn Brockbabyface now. But it’s almost like..he hasn’t done much as a heel other than beat John Cena and then go into War Games. There’s still stuff to do but..maybe not." (H/T - TJRWrestling)

Dutch Mantell is not in favor of Brock Lesnar retiring from WWE

Of late, there's been plenty of rumors suggesting that The Beast Incarnate was close to hanging up his wrestling boots for good in 2026.

Speaking on his Storytime with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager said that it made no sense for Lesnar to consider retirement, as he already had a relaxed schedule and competed only a handful of times a year.

"Well, I don't know why he's gotta retire. The schedule that WWE has now is nothing like it used to be. Literally nothing. We used to go through some weeks, you may have gotten into a ring not necessarily to wrestle that much, but you may have gotten into a ring eight to nine or ten times a week. You'd have double headers on Saturday, Saturday afternoon matinee show, they would call it. Then you'd have a Saturday night show. And then Sunday, you'd have a matinee show at about 3 o'clock. Then get right in your car, drive somewhere else, and then you would have another show. Then get in the car, drive to the town where Monday Night Raw would be, and they ran you like a dog."

Until WWE or Lesnar himself comes forward with an explanation, the chatter surrounding his retirement is sure to be a hot topic of discussion on the internet.
